Welcome to my website!

I was born in 1972 in Budapest, Hungary. I was only 5 when my father took me to his workplace on a summer to VEIKI's Szondi street mainframe center. It was a classic lab, dust-free, climatized. Inside one of the highest grade IBM 360 series in Hungary, with round 1 megabytes of operative memory (!!!). Today, the entire lab would fit in this laptop, but maybe even in my telephone. In those times there were only two state enterprises owning such a top machine in Hungary. It may be of course, that not IBM, but ESZR was the machine. Considering the essence it doesn't matter, the eastern block without IBM's knowledge tapped all, and replaced the original inscriptions on it to cyrillic letters.
On the corridor on the wall there was a Big Red Button, covered with a plexi glass avoiding people to accidentally press the button. Why is there a button that is never allowed to press? Noone knows. But in those times people did not pry into such questions on this part of the iron curtain. However, for a 5 years old kid that was a challenge...

Looking at the reactions of my father's colleagues i decided: I want to do the same. And it was so, however, I had to wait some time. Today I am father of 2 kids and so called IT pro. I keep off contacting Big Red Buttons that somehow do not disappear from this world...
